Learning About Wine Varieties is Interesting and fun

My arts class recently had a field trip to a winery and the vineyard as part of our instructor’s wine education program. She is very passionate about wine and believes that everyone needs to learn about wine and how it is made and why some wines are better than others are. She explained last week that differences in taste was due to the grapes used, the age and even the soil the grapes grew. It amazes me the amount of knowledge she has about wines but she worked in the wine industry for a number of years before she began teaching.
