Two of the most common sushi rolls, and the ones that most people begin with when easing into sushi, are the California and the Spicy Tuna roll. Visit any Japanese restaurant, from an east coast long island sushi place to one smack in the middle of the country and these two rolls will be a staple.
California Rolls consist of cucumber, avocado and crab inside. More often than not, the crab inside is imitation crab and the roll actually contains no fish at all. Rarely crab salad is substituted for crab and overall the rolls are often done “inside-out” and then sprinkled with sesame seeds or tobiko. Spicy tuna rolls are filled with spicy tuna salad and either avocado or cucumber. Spicy tuna is diced pieces of tuna piece, mixed with scallions are added and either chili oil or sriracha sauce. For a creamier texture Japanese mayonnaise is added.

I was over at my sister’s home the other day when I had one of her vitamin drinks, as I like to call them. I had a MonaVie and it was delicious. My sister is always singing their praises, but I’d just never had the opportunity to try one. She swears by them and says they give her tons of energy. Well, if that’s the case, I sure should start using them as I never seem to be able to wake up.

Wines are generally split up into two classes, the Red wines and the White wines. White Wine is segregated into classes based on variety, cost and degree of recurring sugars. When it came down to buy restaurant range, I wasn’t sure exactly what I wanted to get. I knew that quality was very important for a restaurant. We had to have something that we could depend on. If the stove broke or the oven stopped working it could literally mean the end of the business. This was a very important item. I wanted badly to cut corners, but knew I couldn’t do it on the range.

Now, we don’t have to worry about not having food if we have to stay in our basement.
