Roasting Coffee

When roasting coffee beans it is important to first consume coffee from a roaster to experience great flavor. You can also use green coffee beans, which stay fresh much longer than those that have been through a roaster. Green coffee beans will stay fresh for up to, or longer than six months if they are stored correctly, while those gourmet coffee beans that go though a roaster will last for only a week because within a week coffee from the roaster will begin to oxidize. Another important thing to remember is that once the coffee is already ground, you cannot be assured of its freshness and quality, but when roasting your own green coffee you are guaranteed one hundred percent fresh!

Racking the brains to come up with a concept

The idea of starting a wine store online seemed like a pretty good one at the time, that was until I saw just how many of them there are already in operation. I spoke to my business partner about it and he thought we should still pursue the idea but come up with a concept that was different to what everyone else was doing. This is of course easier said than done and we spent a lot of time racking our brains as to what this could be. I think we have a pretty good one now so we’ll just have to wait and see how that works out.

Drinking Fountain at the City Park

I was at the park yesterday in the scorching heat with a couple of friends.  We were playing frisbee and volleyball in the 95 degree heat.  I had forgotten to bring with a few bottles of water and did not want to deal with heat stroke.  I found a drinking fountain in the main park shelter near the picnic tables.  I had forgotten what it was like to drink the super cold water that you get from a fountain.  It had been years since I used one.  I was surprised to find one at the park and then my friend reminded me that last year, the city agreed to have one installed at each city park.
